6th Day - Shopping, VBS, New Year´s Party!

It's hard to believe that this is the last full day in El Salvador. The plan right now is to go shopping, go door to door evangelism, VBS, New Year´s Eve Service at Santa Tecla, and then a New Year´s Eve party at Rolando and Alexandra´s house. It will be a fun day...it´s hard to believe we are going to bring in the New Year in El Salvador! :)

What a day today was! We did do our shopping today (what an efficient group!), did evangelism in a cemetary (this is not a joke--many squatters have moved into the cemetary to live), finished up VBS, had a New Year's Eve service and then a party!

It is amazing to me to see the people who live in this cemetary...it's always an eye opener for those who go the first time. We saw many who have been reached by the church and many children who have been coming to VBS.

Our VBS went great! The numbers went down the 3rd day to about 16 kids (I think because of the time change). It was amazing to see our team work so well together--singing, telling the kids about Jesus, leading in crafts and making balloon animals.

The service today was at Santa Tecla (the mother church). It was full of testimonies and music. They dedicated their church leaders for the new year. I got to preach and baptize six--in Spanish! It was a privilege for me.

Then the party at Rolando and Alexandra's was incredible. We are on the 3rd story roof/patio watching the entire city shoot off fireworks, while eating, fellowshiping, and listening to music. It was a night I will never forget. We stayed their until 2 am...I was the bad guy who said we had to go home! We leave 5:00 am for home...in just 3 hours!
